Giving birth in the Netherlands as an expat is a unique journey – one that can feel calm, supported and deeply empowering.

You don’t have to navigate a new system on your own. I support you through pregnancy and birth so you feel informed, confident and truly held every step of the way.

Ask your questions, get clarity, and see if we’re a good fit.

You’re not alone in this

Moving through pregnancy in a new country can feel different in ways you didn’t expect.

The system, the language, the approach to birth – it’s not always what you’re used to.

Being far from your usual support system can make everything feel just a little more uncertain.

  • Is this normal here?
  • Am I making the right choices?
  • Who do I turn to when I need reassurance?

This is where having continuous, personal support makes all the difference.

With the right support, everything changes

When you feel supported, things start to settle.

You begin to understand how the system works.
You feel more confident in your choices.
You can slow down and trust yourself again.

Instead of feeling unsure, you feel:

  • calm
  • informed
  • grounded
  • supported in every moment that matters

This is the space I create for you.

I support expat mothers throughout pregnancy and birth in the Netherlands – Gouda, Rotterdam, Delft, Den Haag, Utrecht area – offering steady, continuous support so you never feel like you have to figure things out on your own.

How I support you through this journey

Every pregnancy and birth is different – and so is the kind of support you might need.

I’m here to walk beside you, offering guidance, reassurance and continuity throughout this entire experience.

During pregnancy

We take the time to prepare – practically and emotionally.
You’ll understand your options and feel more confident.

Preparing for birth

We explore what matters most to you.
You’ll feel grounded, informed and ready.

Continuous support

I’m there as a steady presence – so you feel supported and never alone.

Understanding birth in the Netherlands

The Dutch maternity system may feel different from what you’re used to.

With its focus on midwife-led care and natural birth, it can raise questions at first.

But different doesn’t mean unsafe.

With the right support, many women experience it as calm, personal and empowering.

You don’t have to figure it out alone – I’m here to guide you through it.

Hi, Veronika accompanied me throughout my birth and also visited me during the postpartum period. My experience with her is that she tries to adapt to your needs as best as possible and thus make your situation easier. She transformed my apartment into a quiet, calm little room in a matter of moments. I primarily wanted her there because I didn’t know how well I would be able to speak in a foreign language or interpret what was being said to me despite the pain. But looking back, I really needed her, which you wouldn’t even think about during your first pregnancy. For example, if your partner is not the kind of person who would stand with you for hours under the hot shower and caress you and massage you so that you can bear the contractions better, then Veronika is your person. There is also a spiritual side to this whole thing that I didn’t necessarily get, but it is a fact that commitment is important. If you want someone who will approach you with understanding and pay attention to you and your baby, I recommend Veronika with a warm heart.

Veronika supported us after the pregnancy, her knowledge and holistic perspective is useful in different phases of the pregnancy and baby development. She is also sweet, gentle, respectful, calm and warm person who gives us space to make our own decisions. I really appreciate her assistance with our baby when she had some difficulties to sleep and eat. A complementary view of those provided by the usual healthcare practitioners

Hi, I’m Veronika

I support expat mothers in the Netherlands because I know how different this experience can feel when you’re far from home.

Pregnancy and birth are deeply personal – and navigating them in a new system can bring uncertainty and questions.

My role is to offer a calm, steady presence.

To listen, to guide, and to support you so you feel safe, informed and confident – and can experience your birth in a way that truly feels right for you.

Let’s connect

If this kind of support feels right for you, I’d love to hear from you.

I work with a small number of clients each month to offer truly personal support.

A free 30-minute conversation can already bring more clarity, calm, and support.

No pressure. Just a conversation.

This is not just about birth – it’s about how you experience it.
Feeling safe, supported, and truly accompanied can make all the difference.
